Nice to know some of us on Thwack are seasoned professionals.
After studying (and working in a home lab) for months I started taking tests. Once I started taking tests, I passed all seven in less then 90 days.
The first five I completed in 30 days, OS/Computer Concepts, NetWare 3 Administration, NetWare 3 Advanced Administration, Service and Support and Networking Technologies.
For the electives I could have taken Printing and Netware for SAA like many did. Instead I took NetWare 4 Administration and NetWare 4 Advanced Administration my electives so I could have the knowledge of the latest NetWare OS.
I used two desktops for NW 4 servers and built a lab. Then I took 30 days to study for each test using the book below.
If I ever get to meet Karanjit Siyan, I would heartily shake his hand and thank him for helping me kick start my IT career with this book.
Netware 4 skills helped me a bunch down the road. I started doing all of the migrations from 3 to 4 for the VAR I was working for at the time and did the same for the next VAR employer.
